Ronni Kimm is an artist, organizer and educator based in New York and Los Angeles. As the director of ART2102, a non-profit arts initiative in Los Angeles, she investigated the relationship between aesthetics, social practice and networks. She recently co-edited and published Dispatches and Directions: On Artist-Run Organizations in Los Angeles, a compendium of works, thoughts, essays and a directory of artist-run and non-profit projects. In conjunction with the publication, she organized a series of public discussions at LAXART, Outpost for Contemporary Art, and Collective Show Los Angeles at Human Resources in January 2011. Ronni also teaches at the California Institute of the Arts and Otis College of Arts & Science and advises nonprofits, for profits and start-up organizations on various digital and online initiatives. She holds an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts and a BA from Cornell University. |
